North Hills Community Swim Program registration will be held on Sept. 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the North Hills Middle School large group instruction room. Registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The community swim program is open to all North Hills School District residents or employees of North Hills School District and their dependents. North Hills School District offers a community swim program including swimming and diving lessons for children, swimming lessons for adults, community open swims, aqua aerobics, Instructor Aide Class for potential NHSD swim instructors and lifeguarding classes. Children’s lessons will be held on Saturdays beginning Sept. 10. Adult lessons are scheduled for Monday evenings beginning Sept. 19. North Hills School District community swim program follows the American Red Cross certification program and offers instruction for preschoolers through level VI. The cost is $50 for swimming and beginning diving lessons. Aqua aerobics will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. starting Sept. 13 and 15. Participants can choose between one class per week for $35 or two classes per week for $55. Community open swim sessions begin Sept. 7 and will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $4 for students and $5 for adults. Discounted rates are available through North Hills School District swim program punch cards that can be purchased at the pool. Each punch card is $30 and is good for 10 swims. Adult open swim will be held on Mondays, all ages open swim will be held on Wednesdays and family open swim will be held on Fridays. If North Hills School District is closed, all community swim programs will be canceled. All lessons will be held in the North Hills High School pool.
